The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Administration department is currently recruiting for the following:

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN COORDINATOR  (1 Year Contract)

Under the direction of the Manager of Customer Experience and Communications, the Multimedia Design Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the digital design and creative services for the Town. This position is also responsible for creating, developing, and producing effective visual communications materials that maintain branding guidelines and meet AODA requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Post-Secondary education in Digital Design, Communications Technology, Visual Communications or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Flexibility and adaptability as the creative work covers a variety of departments and reaches a variety of audiences (e.g., employees, Council, the general public, visitors, businesses, not-for-profits, etc.).
  • Strong computer skills, including hands-on technical work experience using various municipal programs and web applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with demonstrated time management, analytical, administrative, problem-solving, and public relations skills.
  • Strong ability to organize and condense complex topics into simplified graphics for internal and external communications.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Staff, Members of Council, and the public.
  • Demonstrated passion, creativity, and ability to assist in planning, designing, and executing corporate documents and projects.
  • Available to work flexible hours to attend evening and/or weekend meetings or events, as required.
