Where to Park & How to Pay

The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Paid Parking Map is a user-friendly tool designed to help residents and visitors locate paid parking areas and parking meters throughout the Town’s Heritage District.

Parking Machines in the Heritage District

Effective Thursday, January 19, 2023, all Town parking machines, except for four (4), located within the Heritage District, no longer accept credit card payments.

The Town understands the difficulties this has caused customers and business owners and is sorry for the inconvenience. The Town is working on short and longer-term solutions to this matter.

The four (4) machines that do accept credit card payments have been relocated to more prominent locations in the Heritage District (see map below). Coins will continue to be accepted through all parking machines, as well as credit card payments via the Honk Mobile app.

Pay for Parking using Honk Mobile

Using a single account, motorists can pay for parking anywhere Honk is accepted across North America using VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or PayPal. It's an easy and quick way for drivers to pay for parking, significantly reducing pain points to paying. It is also a healthy and safe option, helping drivers avoid high-touch areas like pay stations and cash.

There are two ways to pay for parking using Honk Mobile:

1. The Honk app can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android at www.honkmobile.com or via the App Store or Google Play.

2. Motorists can opt to use HonkTAP smart stations located throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake's Heritage District (see map below).

Additional pay for parking options:

  • Metered parking machines will continue to be available during the 2023 season. Motorists can choose to pay for parking via Honk Mobile or the standard format provided through a nearby parking meter. Rates remain the same, with the addition of a $0.25 convenience fee if Honk Mobile is used.
