Special Events Sign Request Form

The Special Events Sign is located at the intersection of Mississauga Street and Queen Street, in Old Town, Niagara-on-the-Lake. The sign offers a prime location to promote your local event.

Details/Requirements:

  • Those wishing to request space must apply with payment by December 31 for the following year.
  • Only events held within the boundaries of Niagara-on-the-Lake can promote their events.
  • Events must be significant community events that would attract a minimum of 1,000 people. Less attended special events will be considered during non-peak times.
  • A maximum of four events can be posted at any one time.
  • A Signage Committee will review all submissions annually to determine the community significance of each event.
  • Events will be posted for three weeks unless space permits a longer period.
  • The signs will be changed each Monday (as required) by Town Staff.

Cost/Payment:

  • First-time advertisers must pay a $441.00 (Proposed 2026 rate, includes HST) signage fee.
  • To continue advertising each year, there is an annual fee of $55.25 (Proposed 2026 rate, includes HST)
