Looking for winter activities that the whole family can enjoy? Look no further! Our local arenas offer a fantastic array of programming to keep everyone entertained.

Public skating is set to begin on Thanksgiving Weekend (October 7, 8, and 9) from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Meridian Credit Union Arena. 

Glide gracefully on the ice or have a laugh as you navigate your way around. Public skating sessions are perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Shinny Hockey: Grab your sticks and hit the ice for some friendly, casual hockey. Shinny Hockey is a great way to stay active and connect with fellow hockey enthusiasts. Participants must be 18 years and over. Full equipment is mandatory.

Parents and Preschool: A special time for parents and little ones to bond on the ice. Introduce your children to the joys of skating in a safe and fun environment. Skating aids are available. 

Stick and Puck: This session is perfect for those looking to refine their hockey skills or have fun with a puck and a stick. Practice your shots and passes, or simply enjoy some hockey-themed fun.

• All children aged 12 and under must be supervised by an adult on and off the ice.
• Proof of payment (hand stamp) may be required to enter the ice surface.
• You must wear skates while on the ice surface and adhere to the directions of the Arena Staff.
• Report all accidents or injuries to Arena Staff immediately.
• Please skate at a sensible speed.
• The following is not permitted:
  • Carrying children on the ice. 
  • Food or drinks on the ice surface or players' benches.
  • Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances and anyone under the influence.
  • Horseplay, chain skating (no more than two people holding hands), profanity and inappropriate behaviour.
  • Throwing of ice or snow.
  • Sitting on the boards.

All Skating Season Passes are final sale. No refunds or future discounts due to any potential ice closures/disruptions.

2023/2024 Arena Rates & Fees

• Prime Time Hours: Monday to Friday from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m., Saturdays and Holidays from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. All other times are non-prime time.

• To qualify for resident rates, 60% of the group must be residents of Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

• Development ice rental is for training purposes and is only available during non-prime times.

• Day of ice is a booking for the day of the event. This is based on schedule availability. Cancelling or rebooking is not permitted.
