As recovery efforts continue following recent significant rainfall events, the Town is providing additional options to help residents safely and efficiently dispose of flood-related waste.
Residents with large items or large piles of waste resulting from the flood can register for a special curbside collection. Registration is open until noon on Friday, August 14, 2026. Residents can register by:
- Calling the Town at 905-468-3266 ext. 0; or
- Completing this online form directly
Following registration, the Town will work with Miller Waste Systems to coordinate one collection of registered large flood-related items and piles next week.
This service is specifically for waste resulting from the recent flooding event and is not a general large-item or bulk waste collection. Residents are asked to register only items that were damaged or generated because of the flooding.
Other Disposal Options for Flood-Related Waste
This Week:
- August 10 to 14 - In partnership with Niagara Region and Miller Waste Systems, an additional curbside collection will take place, even though this is not a regularly scheduled garbage collection week. Residents can place up to five bags of flood-related waste only at the curb on their regularly scheduled collection day.
- August 12 to 14 - Drop-off your flood-related construction, demolition and renovation materials at the Town Operations Yard (1565 Four Mile Creek Road) from August 12 to 14, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Next week (August 17 to 21):
- Regular garbage collection will resume. In addition to the standard two-bag limit, residents can place up to three additional bags of flood-related waste at the curb, for a total of up to five bags. Collection will take place on residents’ regularly scheduled collection day.
The Town thanks residents for their continued patience and cooperation as cleanup and recovery efforts continue. Staff remain committed to working with Niagara Region, Miller Waste Systems and other partners to move flood-related waste as quickly and efficiently as possible.
