The Town’s Community and Youth Initiatives Grant Program (formerly the Discretionary Grant Program) for the 2026 program year is now open.
The Community and Youth Initiatives Grant Program is designed to allocate discretionary funds to organizations, groups, and events that contribute to the cultural, social, environmental, and economic well-being of the Niagara-on-the-Lake community.
The Town operates the Grant Program with a total budget - anticipated to be up to $167,443 in the 2026 program year, funded from the parking program. The Program supports a wide variety of community-based events to create investments in the community that have a positive community impact. Applications will be accepted from March 2, 2026 to March 27, 2026.

How do I apply?
- Read the Community and Youth Initiatives Grant Policy. Please note the streams available and what will be considered:
- Events that will benefit residents of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Events that charge an admission or ticket price will not be considered.
- Financial statements are required for the previous year, along with a budget. If it’s your first time applying, your organization should provide more than one set of previous financial statements to demonstrate financial stability.
Please note it is not the intention or mandate of the Community and Youth Initiatives Grant Program to provide ongoing operational funding to any organization in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
