
WHAT: The Christmas Parade Committee is excited about the much-anticipated Niagara-on-the-Lake Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13, starting at 11:00 a.m. in Old Town. This event is a highlight of the holiday season, bringing joy to residents and visitors alike. Road closures are taking place to accommodate this event.
WHEN: Road closures will be in effect to accommodate this event. Please note the following details:
- Setup Time: 8:00 am
- Road Closure Begins: 9:30 a.m.
- Road Closure Ends: 1:30 p.m.
- Road Closures:
- Queen Street (Simcoe to Wellington)
- King Street (Centre to Byron)
- New this year: No parking will be allowed on Queen Street. This is being done to ensure parade participants (i.e., bands) can navigate the street safely and to provide unobstructed views of the parade from the roadside. This will be in effect from Friday, December 12, at 10:00 p.m., and continue until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 13.
COMMUNICATION: The Town is communicating the road closures via this notice posted on the Town’s website and social media channels.
Emergency Services have been informed of this event and have developed a plan to ensure emergency services to the closure area remain unaffected.
