WHAT: Town Staff and contractors will soon begin the restoration of the historic Cenotaph and Clock located on Queen Street, between King Street and Regent Street.
While no road closures are anticipated during the construction, there will be lane re-routing around the Cenotaph to accommodate the work.
The project will involve the installation of scaffolding on the entire structure. Restoration activities will include brickwork repointing, parging, clock face restoration, and interior renovations. This work is being carried out under Town Heritage Permit: H-24-001.
WHEN: The work is set to begin on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, and continue until Thursday, October 31, 2024 (weather permitting).

COMMUNICATION: This work is being communicated to the public via this Public Notice distributed to surrounding properties, posted on the Town’s website and shared on the Town’s social media accounts.
Emergency Services have been informed of this project and have developed a plan to ensure emergency service to the properties around the construction area remains unaffected.
