The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is once again pleased to offer free parking in the Heritage District (Old Town) throughout the month of December. This initiative, requested by the Chamber of Commerce and approved by Council at their November 26, 2024, Council Meeting, aims to encourage local shopping during the holiday season, create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, and enhance the festive spirit in our charming community.

WHERE: Free parking will be available in the Heritage District (Old Town) of Niagara- on-the-Lake.
WHEN: Free parking will begin on Sunday, December 1, 2024, and end at midnight on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
COMMUNICATION:
- Efforts to ensure the public is aware of this free parking initiative will include posts on the Town’s social media channels and updates on the Town’s website.
- Messages will be added to the Pay & Display parking meters in the Heritage District to inform the public about free parking.
- Individuals utilizing the Honk Mobile or ParkedIn apps will receive a message if they try to pay for parking, stating that parking is free for the month and that no payment is required.
