
The last long weekend of summer is almost here, and as families prepare for the back-to-school season, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday!
The Town Administration Building and Operations Building, Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre and Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library are closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, to observe the Labour Day Holiday.
We encourage residents to take advantage of the long weekend by enjoying the Town’s many parks and outdoor amenities, including:
- Pickleball and tennis courts, skatepark, and basketball courts
- Playgrounds for all ages
- Baseball diamonds and soccer fields at Memorial Park and Virgil Sports Park
- The scenic Queen’s Royal Park Gazebo
As summer winds down, please note the following aquatics schedule for the long weekend, as well as the closure dates for these facilities:
- St. Davids Pool: Closes Saturday, August 30, at 4:00 p.m. The schedule for this day is as follows:
- 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Lane Swim
- 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Family Swim
- 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Public Swim
- Wading Pool: Closes Monday, September 1, at 4:00 p.m.
- Niagara/Memorial Pool: Closes Monday, September 1, at 5:00 p.m. The schedule for this day is as follows:
- 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Lane Swim
- 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Family Swim
- 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Public Swim
- 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.: Dog Swim. No registration is required; dogs must be friendly and up to date on vaccines, and community members are not permitted to enter the water while dogs are swimming.
- Splash Pad: Closes Thanksgiving weekend
