Niagara-on-the-Lake, in support of its commitment to continuous improvements through modernization and digitization efforts, is pleased to announce the launch of two new online processes, dog licences, and requests for screenings.
“I am very proud of the work Staff is doing to modernize our services and achieve greater efficiency for our residents,” noted Lord Mayor Disero. “Providing multiple ways for the public to receive the services they need, and desire is so important, and I am glad to see Niagara-on-the-Lake continuing to find ways to make our services better.”
“The global pandemic has taught us a lot about the importance of digitizing services to ensure availability and ease of use,” stated CAO Marnie Cluckie. “Staff is committed to leveraging technology to modernize and digitize Town services in order to make continuous process improvements towards our shared goal of customer service excellence.”
Dog Licences
Effective today, residents can complete and submit a new or renewal application for a dog licence through a quick, easy-to-fill-out online form equipped with online payment capabilities. With separate forms for renewal and new dog licences, this process supports residents’ desire to receive service from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Standard methods of hard copy submissions are still accepted. Please visit notl.com/content/dog-licenses to learn more.
Request for Screening
Effective today, members of the public wishing to dispute a parking penalty notice can request a meeting with a screening officer via an online, fillable form. This process is intended to review and determine whether or not a parking infraction was committed, and it previously required applicants to fill out and print an online form before submission. Now, the form can be completed and submitted through a streamlined, electronic process. Standard methods of hard copy submissions are still accepted. Please visit notl.com/screening-form to complete an online request for screening.
