Kirsten McCauley begins with the Town as the new Director of Community and Development Services on March 28, 2022.
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is pleased to announce Kirsten McCauley as the Town's new Director of Community and Development Services, effective March 28, 2022.
As Niagara-on-the-Lake's Director of Community and Development Services, Kirsten will provide oversight for all functions of the department, including providing Council with recommendations on the long-term development of the Town, as well as specific matters dealing with land-use policies, development agreements, building permits, etc.
Kirsten has nearly twenty years of experience in the planning field, working for various levels of government, including the Region of Niagara, City of Hamilton, and Township of West Lincoln.
While working for the Region of Niagara, Kirsten has participated in projects within the Niagara-on-the-Lake community, such as the Glendale District Plan and Glendale Secondary Plan. This experience has supported her knowledge of the Town and has allowed her to build excellent working relationships with members of Town Staff in advance of her new role.
With the designation of a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with the Ontario Planners Institute, membership within the Canadian Institue of Planners, and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a minor in Sociology and Geography from the University of Waterloo, Kirsten's extensive education, experience, and knowledge is sure to benefit the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
