Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services Implements Burn Ban

WHAT: Due to the current air quality concerns and dry conditions, an open-air burning ban is now in effect in Niagara-on-the-Lake until further notice. This applies to all open-air burning, including cooking fires (with the exception of barbeques and other gas appliances), consumer and display-type fireworks, and all other forms of outdoor burning. Failure to comply may result in charges under the Ontario Fire Code and/or user fee charges for Fire Department response.

WHEN: The Burn Ban is in effect as of July 15, 2026, and until further notice.

COMMUNICATION: The Town will notify the public when the burn ban is lifted via the Town’s website and social media channels.
