The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is building on the success of its existing quarterly NOTL News e-newsletter by moving to a monthly format, providing residents with more frequent updates on what’s happening across the community.
Beginning in June, the newsletter will offer a more consistent and accessible way for residents to stay informed, engaged, and connected with Town initiatives, Council decisions, and community activities.
“Clear and accessible communication is a key part of good governance,” said Lord Mayor Gary Zalepa. “Enhancing NOTL News to a monthly format ensures residents have regular, reliable updates on Council decisions and opportunities to stay connected with their community.”
Each monthly edition of NOTL News will include a range of updates to help residents stay informed and connected, such as highlights from Council, recent initiatives, upcoming activities, service updates, and opportunities for community engagement. Content may vary from month to month and can also include special features, updates on key priorities, and stories that reflect community input and local impact.
“Moving to a monthly newsletter allows us to share timely information in a more consistent and coordinated way,” said CAO Nick Ruller. “It aims to help residents stay informed about the services and initiatives that matter to them.”
