Summer is just around the corner, and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is excited to welcome residents and visitors back to its seasonal amenities and community recreation programming for 2026.
Several Town amenities will soon open for the summer season, offering opportunities for outdoor recreation, family fun, and community connection across Niagara-on-the-Lake.
In addition, the Town is pleased to announce the return of the popular Play in the Park program, a free, drop-in initiative that encourages children and families to get active, explore local parks, and enjoy outdoor play throughout the summer months.
Summer Amenity Openings
The following seasonal amenities are scheduled to open for the 2026 season:
- Niagara Pool (370 King Street): Opens June 20
- St. Davids Pool (1446 York Road): Opens June 28
- Simcoe Park Wading Pool (25 Picton Street): Opens June 28
Other outdoor amenities are also ready for use, including:
- Splash pad
- Skatepark, tennis courts, and basketball courts
- Playgrounds
- Baseball diamonds and soccer fields at Memorial Park and Virgil Sports Park
- Fitness equipment in Virgil Sports Park
Play in the Park Returns
Play in the Park will once again bring free recreation programming to parks across Niagara-on-the-Lake this summer.
The program, organized in partnership with the NOTL Public Library, provides children and families with opportunities to participate in games, sports, creative activities, and inclusive outdoor play in a fun and welcoming environment led by Town Staff.
No registration is required, and participants are welcome to drop in during scheduled program times. Children under six years of age must be accompanied by someone aged 14 or older.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit www.notl.com for additional information on amenities. In the event of poor weather, all Play in the Park programming will automatically relocate to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library (10 Anderson Lane). Relocation notices and program updates will be shared through the Town’s social media channels and website.
