
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is excited to host “Celebrating Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Heritage,” an event to recognize the community’s rich history and highlight properties designated as heritage sites since 2019.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, April 23
- Time: Doors open at 6:00, with the presentation starting at 6:30 p.m. A standing reception will follow.
- Location: Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre (247 Ricardo Street)

“Our community’s heritage is a vital part of what makes Niagara-on-the-Lake such a special place,” stated Lord Mayor Gary Zalepa. “By recognizing designated properties and the people behind their preservation, we celebrate what makes our Town unique.”
This event will showcase the importance of heritage designation in preserving the Town’s character, featuring a presentation and speakers, with a certificate and plaque provided to each homeowner who has designated their property since 2019.
“We are proud to acknowledge the property owners and community members who contribute to preserving Niagara-on-the-Lake’s cultural heritage,” stated CAO Bruce Zvaniga. “This event is an opportunity to highlight the importance of these efforts and our shared history.”
The Town looks forward to celebrating and recognizing the dedication of those who help preserve Niagara-on-the-Lake’s historic charm.
