The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is inviting community members to help shape priorities for the Town’s Asset Management Plan (AMP). The AMP development, led by the Town’s consultants, PSD Citywide Inc., will guide how the Town invests in and maintains critical infrastructure, such as roads, water and wastewater systems, parks, and recreation facilities, to deliver services people rely on every day. This Plan is identified as a priority within Council's Strategic Plan Pillar of Enrich Community Assets, Environment, and Infrastructure.
The AMP is a strategic roadmap that strikes a balance between risk, service, and cost. Community input will help Council make informed, transparent decisions about where, when, and how to invest, ensuring that infrastructure remains safe, reliable, and affordable in the long term.
Engagement is essential to understanding community priorities for Town infrastructure and services. The focus is on maintaining assets in good condition, providing dependable services at a manageable cost, and planning for long-term sustainability amid aging infrastructure, rising costs, and limited resources. Community input will help identify valued services and expected service levels, guiding future decisions.
