June is Seniors Month, and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake invites senior residents aged 65 and older to its annual Senior Citizen Strawberry Social, a beloved tradition filled with lunch, laughter, and community connections.
Event Details
- Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2026
- Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Lunch will be served at approximately 11:20 a.m.)
- Location: Main Auditorium, Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre (14 Anderson Lane)
- Registration: Required and limited. Register early, as spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register online or call 905-468-3266 ext. 0. If the event reaches capacity, participants can request to be added to the waitlist.
- Cost: Free!
This event is made possible through the generosity of Seaway Farms, which has donated the strawberries for the luncheon, and PigOut Catering, which will provide a delicious meal. Guests will also enjoy live piano music by Frank Krahn, as well as special song performances by students from St. Davids Public School. As an extension of the celebration, Town Staff will once again deliver trays of freshly baked goods to residents at the Town’s long-term care homes, ensuring every senior in the community feels appreciated.
