All are invited to attend a TD Tree Days community tree planting event on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., next to Vineridge Academy at 1875 Niagara Stone Road.
The event will see 600 native tree saplings planted on Town property. The Town identified the planting site in alignment with Council priorities and worked with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) on site planning, preparation, and species selection. The trees and associated planting costs are being fully funded through the 2 Billion Trees program and a TD Tree Days grant secured by NPCA, at no cost to the Town. Native species suitable for the floodplain area have been selected for the site.
Those who would like to participate in the tree planting are asked to register in advance with TD, at Niagara Stone Road | TD Tree Days
Parking will be available at Vineridge Academy, with access to the planting site through the field.
