Parade Details
The Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The parade will start at the intersection of King and Centre Street in Old Town and travel throughout its traditional route down Castlereagh, Wellington, Byron/Prideaux, Simcoe, and Queen Streets.

Parade Entry
Join the fun and participate in the magic by entering a float in the Parade! This is a great opportunity to showcase your creativity, spread holiday joy, and become an integral part of a wonderful community tradition. Whether you're a local business, a community group, or just passionate about spreading cheer, we welcome your unique contribution to make this year's Parade truly special.
Those wishing to participate in the Parade are invited to complete the Parade Entry Form below by December 3, 2025. Submission is free.
Complete the application and email it back as per the instructions on the form, or you can mail or drop it off.
Parking
Those wishing to attend the parade are reminded that parking is very limited on parade day. Streets will be closed, and parking will fill up quickly. Queen Street will be closed to all parking until 2:00 p.m. from King Street to Simcoe Street, with signs posted accordingly. Please plan ahead when preparing to enjoy the day with your family and friends.

Christmas Parade Buttons
In support of the Parade, the Christmas Parade Committee is selling festive buttons. Buttons can be purchased for $3 at select locations throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake. The above photo is the 2025 button. Buttons will be available starting in late November, so stay tuned for further details.

Come for the Parade, Stay for the Day!
Make it a day (or multiple!) in Niagara-on-the-Lake this holiday season! After the last float passes, there’s still so much to explore. From charming shops to festive activities, discover all the magic that awaits before and after the parade. Here are a few ways to keep the fun going:
- Stroll the Heritage District: Wander through the heart of NOTL, where historic charm meets festive cheer. Explore unique shops or warm up with a cozy meal at one of our local restaurants.
- Public Skating: Lace up your skates and hit the ice at the Virgil Arenas (1565 Four Mile Creek Road, Virgil)! Following the parade on December 13, enjoy public skating from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Visit our Public Skating and Arena Programming page for more information.
- Visit the NOTL Museum: Step back in time and learn about NOTL’s rich history. The Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum (43 Castlereagh Street) showcases fascinating exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of our unique heritage.
- Holiday Lights and Decorations: Stroll through Town to enjoy twinkling lights and festive displays decorating homes, streetscapes, and storefronts.

Step into a real-life Hallmark movie this holiday season and experience the festive magic in Niagara-on-the-Lake! Here are some of the must-see events:
- Candlelight Stroll - December 5:
The annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce Candlelight Stroll is on December 5. Stroll through our Heritage District while enjoying holiday performances from Niagara-area musical groups. For more information, please visit their website.
- Holiday Market – December 5 to 14:
From December 5 to 14, attend the Niagara Pumphouse Art Centre’s Holiday Market, which features a wide range of one-of-a-kind, handmade holiday gifts, ornaments, and decor by artisans. Learn more on the Pumphouse’s website.
- Holiday House Tour – December 5 and 6
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Holiday House Tour, put together by volunteers and community partners, showcases beautiful historic and contemporary homes decorated for the holidays. Learn more on their website.
- Niagara-on-the-Lake Tractor Parade - December 11:
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Tractor Parade returns on Thursday, December 11, lighting up the streets with beautifully decorated tractors. It’s a unique community event perfect for kicking off the holiday season. For more details, visit the parade’s official Facebook page.
