WHAT: This project is taking place to finish the drainage works within the park area. Activities will include grading, seeding and the installation of a rain garden. Nearby residents may experience mild disruption from on-site construction equipment throughout the working day (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
WHERE: All work will be completed at Balls Beach Park. Access to the park will be closed at the west end of Riverbeach Drive, the north end of Ball Street, the pathway entrance off Delater Street, and the pathway at the end of Lockhart Street.
WHEN: The closure will occur from Monday, May 8, to Monday, June 5, 2023 (weather permitting). All pathways accessing the park will be closed for this duration as well. Staff are anticipating a tentative reopening on June 7.
COMMUNICATION: Road and park closure signs will be posted in the areas affected, and the Town’s website and social media channels will be updated to inform of these temporary closures.
