After an extensive hiring initiative, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is pleased to announce Donna Delvecchio as the Town’s new Town Clerk/Manager of Legislative Services, effective March 13, 2023.
As the Niagara-on-the-Lake Town Clerk, Donna will oversee the administrative services to Council and its Committees and serve as a legislative advisor to the CAO and Senior Management Team. In addition, she will lead municipal licensing, regulatory and statutory by-laws, records management, Freedom of Information Requests, and municipal and school board elections.
Donna has 20 years of experience working within a Clerks department and is joining the Town from the City of St. Catharines, where she currently holds the position of Deputy Clerk. Donna’s previous experience includes being the City Clerk and Deputy City Clerk with the City of Thorold, and she has run many successful elections.
Donna holds a Diploma in Office Administration from Niagara College. She has successfully completed the Municipal Administration Program (MAP) and Municipal Law Program (MLP) with AMCTO and the Records Management Program with Mohawk College. Donna is also in the process of becoming an Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk with AMCTO and is currently enrolled in the Public Administration program through Athabasca University.
