
Following a robust hiring initiative, the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is pleased to announce Romolo D’Angelo as the new Director of Operations, effective November 14, 2022.
Romolo has over 30 years of leadership experience working in a municipal setting. He is coming to the Town from the City of Hamilton, where he worked as a Director in Public Works. Romolo also worked as a Director in the Community Services Department. Other positions he has held at the City of Hamilton include Manager of Buildings and Technical Services and Supervisor of Customer Service and Metered Water Operations. Additionally, from 2017 to 2022, Romolo served as the President of Hamilton Renewable Power, a leading energy provider.

Romolo holds an Industrial Engineering diploma and is a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET). He attended the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he completed an Executive Leadership Development Program. At the University of Toronto, he completed a Physical Asset Management Certificate Program and a Facility Management Program. Other notable programs Romolo has accomplished include High-Performance Management through Peak Performance Systems and the Advanced Management Program through McMaster University.
