The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is proud to announce that their recently launched website, www.notl.com, has won the Centauri Award in the Government category at the Vega Digital Awards!
The Vega Digital Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in websites, videos, mobile, social, animation, marketing, and podcasts across local and international regions. They recognize and honour exemplary talents and creative minds of digital content creators worldwide, with more than 25 international jurors to evaluate entries.
The Town worked closely with Upanup to design its new website, which was launched in May 2022. The new website is focused on meeting user expectations and providing excellent customer service to the Town's audiences. The user-centric custom design was carefully developed to enhance the user experience by anticipating user needs and ensuring the website is accessible to everyone.
“I am so proud that Niagara-on-the-Lake’s new website has won an award after being live for under six months,” stated CAO Marnie Cluckie. “The website is one of the many great steps we are taking to enhance customer service, and we are very pleased with the final product. The Town's new website features popular links for each user group (resident, visitor, and business) on the homepage to provide a custom experience and easy navigation. Additionally, you will find intuitive, user-focused navigation and a clean, unique design that was carefully built to reflect the Town's unique natural settings, culture, and heritage. The new website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA standards and is compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
