On Friday, August 26, a ceremony will be hosted to unveil this year's inductees to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Sports Wall of Fame. This year's inductees are Trevor Falk, Yvonne Haines and Launcelot Cressy Servos.

The ceremony will take place in the lobby of the Meridian Credit Union Arena (1567 Four Mile Creek Road), with a social starting at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony at 6:00 p.m.

“It is no secret how well-loved sports are in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and each year, we get to honour residents who have made a significant contribution to sports in the community,” stated Lord Mayor Betty Disero. “Come join us on August 26 to pay tribute to these talented athletes and leaders in sport!”

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Sports Wall of Fame was established in 2003; the inductees are individuals who, through their energy, enthusiasm, and talent, have made a significant contribution to the Niagara-on-the-Lake sporting community or have attained a significant athletic achievement.

“The Town is proud to be home to so many amazing athletes, and what better way to celebrate three outstanding residents than at the Sports Wall of Fame ceremony,” stated CAO Marnie Cluckie. “Each year, athletes and/or trainers, coaches, officials, and executive members of a Niagara-on-the-Lake sport are recognized for their efforts to sports in the community. Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Sports Wall of Fame!”
