After 25 years of dedicated service, Sheldon Randall, Director of Operations, will have his last day of work at the Town on April 1, 2022.

“Sheldon’s commitment to Niagara-on-the-Lake is clear in his many years of loyal service,” stated Lord Mayor Betty Disero. “As Director of Operations, Sheldon has always been devoted to his team and is known for his friendly personality and for always being willing to lend a helping hand. Thank you, Sheldon, and happy retirement!”

Sheldon began his career with the Town as an Engineering Technician II on February 26, 1996. He moved to the role of Engineering Technician III in 2000, followed by a position as Manager of Information Technology in 2005. A valued member of the Corporation, Sheldon has had a significant impact on the Town’s evolution over the years, working on a broad range of priority initiatives. Sheldon was also pivotal in responding to COVID-19, working hard to guide the Corporation through the challenges of the pandemic.

“When I started my role as CAO, Sheldon was the first to welcome me to the Town, meet me in the office and give me a tour. I will always remember and be grateful for his kind assistance as I transitioned to Niagara-on-the-Lake,” stated CAO Marnie Cluckie. “Thank you to Sheldon for supporting and caring for his team and for his ongoing dedication to the Town. I wish him the best in his retirement years, and hope that he gets the opportunity to enjoy more time spent with his wonderful family.”

A recruitment process will be initiated soon to fulfill this role. More information will be announced shortly regarding the appointment of an Acting Director of Operations.

The Town extends its thanks to Sheldon for his commitment to the Corporation and the community. He will be missed.
