About the Project

Line 2 Road between Concession 6 Road and Niagara Stone Road will be reconstructed including new road base and asphalt, drainage improvements, sanitary sewer upgrades, sidewalks on both sides of the road, streetlighting enhancements and utility relocations as required.

Summary:

Overall Road Cross Section: The road platform will be reconstructed to a curb and gutter cross section.
Infrastructure Improvements - Sanitary: The sanitary sewer between Concession 6 Road and Niagara Stone Road will be replaced including individual laterals to each property as required. 
Infrastructure Improvements - Storm: A new storm sewer will be installed to accommodate storm water runoff throughout the entire corridor. 
Active Transportation Improvements - Pedestrians: A new sidewalk will be installed on the entire south side of Line 2 Road, and a new sidewalk on the north side of Line 2 Road from Bordeaux Drive to Concession 6 Road. Improved crosswalk facility for Crossroads Public School on Line 2 Road. 
Active Transportation Improvements - Cyclists: Dedicated bike lanes with painted buffers.
Vehicular Traffic: Two travel lanes for vehicles, left and right turning lane at Niagara Stone Road.
Streetlight Enhancements: Updated streetlighting enhancements for roadway and pedestrian lighting requirements.

The anticipated construction schedule is Summer to Fall 2026.

The public will be notified of any impacts to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as the project advances. Properties within project limits will be notified prior to the commencement of construction.
