To dispute a parking ticket, please fill out and submit the Request for Screening Form below within 15 days of the issuance of the penalty notice. The Screening process is to review and determine whether or not the parking infraction was committed.
The Screening Officer will review the appeal in order of submission and determine whether the parking violation occurred and if the ticket was issued correctly. A decision letter is then sent to the appellant via email regarding the results of the screening. This process can take up to two weeks, depending on the volume of appeals received.
If the penalty is affirmed and you are not satisfied with the Screening Officer's decision, you can request a review by a Hearing Officer. This request must be made by filling out and submitting a Hearing Request Form within 15 calendar days of the screening decision. The Hearing Officer is an independent third-party person appointed by Town Council and bound by Conflict of Interest guidelines and the Statutory Powers Procedure Act. The Hearing Officer's decision is final.
If you require further information regarding this process, please contact our Town Administration Office at 905-468-3266 and dial 0 to speak with a Customer Experience Representative or contact Parking Enforcement at extension 226.
